Lincoln Police were sent to a home in the 900 block of Garfield Street around 5 o’clock p.m. Tuesday, April 26th on a report of a burglary in progress.

The caller told police there were two men trying to break into the house. The resident could hear banging on the windows and then the “flick” of a knife being opened. The resident ran from the room and returned a few minutes later and noticed her wallet was missing.

Officers determined a window screen had been cut for the men to gain entry to the house. Officers then saw a vehicle parked in the alley near the victim’s home. Officers spoke with Tristan Patillo and three other individuals in the vehicle.

The missing wallet was located inside the vehicle and Patillo was in possession of several knives.

Patillo was booked for burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Damage to the screen is estimated at $25 and the wallet and contents were recovered and valued at $20.
